Rainy Day/Indoor Ceremony Options

Rain doesn't have to change the magic of your wedding day! At Pinehill Pavilion, we offer several indoor ceremony layouts that are just as beautiful as our outdoor spaces. At your 30 day final walkthrough, your wedding planner and our staff will help you determine the best setup based on the weather, your guest count, and your reception layout. Please note: your final rain plan decision must be made the day before your wedding - we will never make the rain plan call for you - it is your decision!

These layouts are examples so you can see what the room would look like - your layout is unique to and up to you based on the number of tables you have!

Option 1

For an indoor ceremony, your ceremony can be arranged facing the windows on either the courtyard side or the pond side - whichever best fits your vision.

Your reception tables will be arranged on the opposite side of the ceremony space. Following the ceremony, our venue staff will quickly remove the ceremony chairs and complete the reception setup while you and your guests enjoy cocktail hour.

Please Note: If you choose to hold your ceremony on the pond side, we highly recommend renting an additional bar setup for cocktail hour. Our permanent bar is located on the pond side of the venue, and once guests begin lining up for drinks, it can make post-ceremony photos more challenging and significantly slow the transition from ceremony to reception. An additional bar setup helps keep guest traffic flowing smoothly while allowing your photographer and venue staff to work efficiently.

Option 2

This layout is similar to Option 1, but features elegant pipe and drape to conceal the reception setup and create a more dramatic ceremony entrance. You and your wedding party will enter through the center opening beneath the chandelier before proceeding down the aisle, creating a beautiful focal point for your ceremony.

Pipe and drape is available as an additional rental for $475 and is our most highly recommended rainy day option. It provides the smoothest transition from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception.

Following the ceremony, guests will be invited to the reception side of the pipe and drape to enjoy cocktail hour. During this time, our venue staff will complete the remaining reception setup and while you and your photographer can enjoy post-ceremony portraits without guests nearby. Once photos conclude, the pipe and drape will be removed to reveal the full reception space, creating a seamless transition into your celebration.

Option 3

For this layout, the ceremony is held in the center of the venue, creating a simple and elegant setup that allows the reception to remain fully arranged around it. Following the ceremony, our venue staff will remove the ceremony chairs during cocktail hour, revealing the reception without the need to relocate any tables.

This option is similar to Option 1, but requires a much lighter room transition since the reception tables remain in place throughout the day. It offers an efficient and seamless flip while still providing a beautiful indoor ceremony experience.

Option 4

This layout is our best option for weddings with larger guest counts, as it allows us to comfortably accommodate more guests than our other indoor ceremony layouts. Because the venue cannot accommodate a full ceremony chair setup and all reception tables at the same time for larger weddings, this option maximizes seating while creating a smooth and efficient transition into the reception.

A small ceremony seating area is reserved for immediate family, while all other guests remain comfortably seated at their reception tables to witness the ceremony. Following the ceremony, our venue staff will simply remove the front ceremony chairs during cocktail hour, making this our quickest and most seamless room transition since the reception is already fully arranged.

This option is ideal for couples with larger guest counts who want to maximize seating capacity while minimizing the time needed to transition the space for the reception.
